SENSING BLOOM -

WHAT'S THAT ABOUT!?

Sensing Bloom is an exhibition project that is made up of two different projects. However, both are fashion collections that will be shown at Neo Fashion Berlin in September.

Fashion works, it works as a fabric on our skin.
It touches us, physically and mentally
It awakens emotions in us
It awakens in us what we want it to awaken
It is more than just a protection for our skin
It is art
It can excite all our senses
We discover new senses when we lose one
Discover the art of materials and cuts

Close your eyes and feel your garment, follow the directions
Open your eyes, do you see all the clothes of you on the others? Don't look down at yourself, look in the mirror of the people around you.
Listen to her, what is she saying to you? Close me? Open me? Move me?
Yes, say yes to everything!
Taste it, put it on and let it melt on your tongue: adorn yourself with the taste
Breathe deeply, feel the fragrant air enter your body through your nose... do you smell it?

Now gather all your senses
Let your senses explode
Experience your senses anew
Let function disappear and let art enter you
For it can do more than function
It can do what you want it to do

SENSING...

The "Sensing" in the exhibition comes from the collection "The Loss of Function - The Art of Fashion" and thematises the five senses of hearing, seeing, feeling, tasting and smelling. Each piece represents a sense and thus shows on the one hand the intensity of the individual senses when concentrating on this alone, but also the loss when one of the senses is missing. For example, for the sense 'hearing', a wind chime is incorporated into a waistcoat, which sounds with every movement. But I don't want to reveal more at this point, otherwise we'll take away the excitement of how taste can be represented in fashion...

BLOOM...

"Bloom" is derived from Meri's collection, for which the title "In full bloom" was also once considered. The collection features fashion that is suitable for everyday wear and, above all, also sustainable, which is intended to transfer the feeling of the magic of nature into the city vibes of a fast-paced city.
